How to permanently distroy SRV and still stay happy!? SRV with a Les Paul? What kind of blues is this? I know it: my guitar isn't a Stratocaster!🔥🎸 ✨ Welcome to my channel! I'm Marco Caracò, but friends call me Doc King. This is my guitar journey through Modern Blues—a blend of Rock and Jazz that I love for its sonic dynamism. 📌 Nerd Info: I'm playing my Gold Top, Goldie Marilyn, with standard tuning (no drop tuning). I've set my Fractal to an ODS amplifier sound to get tones like Robben Ford or Stevie Ray Vaughan. The patch was created by Marco Fanton, a true genius of digital modeling. The backing track is "Ten Long Years" by the incredible bluesman Davide Pannozzo. 🎸 🔍 In this video you'll hear a sound reminiscent of Stevie Ray, though the timbre leans more toward the mid-low range: warmer, with softer distortion. There's also that typical ODS warmth that, by lowering the guitar volume and playing with the tone controls, becomes even more enjoyable! My playing, still evolving, is very... well, very Doc King! I didn't want to imitate the great SRV, but rather show how this sound can be reinterpreted and reused in the wonderful world of Modern Blues, which I discovered after years of playing rock in Sicilian venues. 🇮🇹In Italy, unfortunately, blues often seems stuck in the '70s: some still think you need to have black skin, be Anglo-American, and maybe carry a cotton sack on your shoulders to really play it! But I simply followed my desire to play and learn, ignoring the prejudices. I thought that maybe, somewhere in this galaxy, there's someone else who thinks like me... so I decided to embark on a space journey into the universe of Modern Blues, searching for other "experimenters." In this stage of the journey, which I want to share, I invite you aboard if you love Blues but crave something new and unexplored.
