I gave the villagers in Animal Crossing AI, and it completely broke the game. After weeks of reverse-engineering the 24-year-old GameCube classic, I connected the characters to a modern Large Language Model, giving them access to the internet, persistent memory, vision, and the ability to generate their own dialogue. The results were hilarious, surreal, and honestly a little terrifying.
